At
Albesta Academy,
our staff and students alike are guided by the School's
policy statements. Below is a summary
of our guiding principles and policies. |
RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES
All boarding students must attend the school worship
service/fellowship on Sundays, except those on weekly
boarding.
Students would be involved in leading devotion in
assemblies and fellowships. |
COMPUTER EDUCATION
All students are encouraged to become computer literate,
study at least one European language, and learn
management skills. Computing services are extensive
because of the Institutions strategy of incorporating
computing into most courses.
We recognise the undeniable fact that basic IT skills
has become imperative for our students to be
internationally competitive in today's world.
ALBESTA ACADEMY has established links with a number of
tertiary institutions both within and outside the
country.
|
DISCIPLINE
No form of corporal punishment would be administered in
ALBESTA ACADEMY but there shall be rules and regulations
with the recommended punishment for violating each of
them attached to the admission letters for both parents
and their wards to study, discuss and agree to abide by
them by appending their signatures before accepting the
offer of admission.
Following these, we would maintain discipline in love.
|
CLEANLINESS
Students would always be inspected for a neat and clean
appearance. Nails are to be cut low and neat, hair kept
neat and tidy, no hair treatment (perming), modest hair
do for girls - not less than 8 strands, low hair cut for
boys and no fashion cut. Regular teeth brushing and
bathing for body cleanliness would also be monitored.
No wearing of jewellery or use of earphones will be
permitted in the school. |
NOTICE
The school must be duly notified if any student is sick
and absent from school or class for more than three (3)
days or would miss an examination due to illness.
A term notice or term fees in lieu of notice is required
before withdrawal of a student. |
PUNCTUALITY
